Calendar Guys

Here's some beefcake for ya gals out there...I was invited to be one of the judges for this event held at Bugis Junction and obviously I am 1 1/2 months late blogging this. There are no photos of the guys in swim wear for you, unfortunately, because I was busy giving them marks while they posed at the fountain with water splashing on them.

Here are some of the contestants during prize giving time. Right above is Mr Well-Groomed, who's a professional dancer.

The group of contestants waiting for the verdict here. Guy with blond hair really sleazy. This guy happens to be a physical trainer at Fitness First. His talent/costume round was a total turn-off when he give us a close-up view of his butt in his mechanic get-up.

We liked Mr December so much we piled him on with all the subtitles. Only 19, he has the Korean actor charm and dimples!

In the end, Mr July, another 19 year-old in the center (above picture) took top place.

Sharon and I with our favourite contestant.

Converse was on of the sponsors for this event. Which explains why I am sitting on the biggest shoe I've ever seen.
Last year's winner (left) and runner up (right)

Here's us with the contestants. I was standing next to Mr Personality. He was really quite charismatic. Unfortunately, he has to work on his bod to outbeat the other chiselled guys. He made a boo-boo in the semi-finals by doing the full monty and scaring a judge by dancing with his hands on his loins. That got him some demerit points from her.

Time to go home...it was a fun pageant to judge. Woohoo!

F1 2010

This post is very belated..as with most of my posts now. Too many events and too little time! Here's F1 in Singapore..got free grandstand tickets to the F1.

The thing about the race is the walking. We had to take a MRT to Suntec City, then there was a long long walk to the seat, which included climbing up and down bridges before finally getting to our destination. The worst part about the walk was that I was in heels, as usual, and that it was a gravel path. Walking was challenging. Another of my friends who wore heels gamely took them off at the end of the race when we had to walk back. It was just too much. The tickets should come with a warning about the risks of wearing inappropriate footwear.

This was at the F1 Village and the TV behind shows behind-the-scenes footages.

Behind us is some weird aussie guy wearing his flag. Or is that the UK flag?

Here's our seat. Pretty good view around the bend. Managed to catch one crash. As I am not a F1 fan, it was really quite boring for me, sitting there with two yellow ear plugs shutting out the buzz of the cars and the din the commentator was making over the loudspeakers. I nodded off once or twice and could hardly keep up with the monotony of the speeding cars.

The hubby would attempt to update me on the technicalities of the race, about who was winning etc, unfortunately, a futile exercise.

Here's me heading for a toilet break. Relieved to get out of the seat. So sleeeepppy!

Here was a vintage car exhibitions...one of the peripheral events. I missed so much of these events. Missed Adam Lambert, Mariah Carey, didn't take the Singapore Flyer or watch Chippendales. Dang, should have gone with the gals. More fun.

Guy on the left is my friend who we dumped into. The rest of them actually WORK for the Singapore GP! haha! He blended right in!

Anyway, end of post. Will continue the Europe trip when I get around to it...
